I know it seems silly to write a review on a bed frame, but the reviews I read before buying this helped me in making my decision and I just wanted to hopefully help someone else too.
I had a regular queen sized bed frame on my 15 year old son's bed - the common ones that are sold at most bed stores and also here on Amazon.
So I don't know what it is with 15 year old boys, but he likes to flop. Flop onto bed, flop when he's in bed, whatever. After a year with the other frame, he had messed up both the center support bar and finally bent the wheels on the top support so the bed was at about a 45 degree angle. I would go in to pray with him at night and was afraid to sit on his bed for fear that with the weight of both of us we'd end up on the ground.
I finally broke down and bought this frame for him and WOW, what a huge difference. It was amazingly easy to put together - no tools required at all. It is HEAVY duty. Though specific to our house, I also love that the wheels are further back at the foot of the bed because the old frame lined up exactly where the heat vent was, so now we can replace the dented vent and not fear that the bed is going to fall into the duct (did I mention 15 year old are rough on houses/furniture!)
I also like how the center support bar goes down the length of the bed, as opposed to just across the middle. It seems so much sturdier this way. Now at night when I go in to pray with my son, I can sit on the side of the bed without worrying about the frame falling apart. I was very surprised at how much sturdier the whole bed seems - it's like a whole new mattress and everything just from the extra support of the frame.
For the $20 or whatever the difference in amount, spend the extra money and go with this frame. You will NOT be sorry!
